1. The size of a product may exceed 100MB. When requesting a product via Online Distribution, it can take an unlimited time to download the files under a slow network environment. In such case, we recommend off-line distribution which uses the CD-ROM media.
2. You can order more than one product in one DPR, but when you use Online Distribution, please limit the number to 10 granules per DPR.
3. In case of a product order with credit card payment, you will not be charged if your order is not accepted by the system or if generation of your ordered product(s) fails due to trouble.
4. E-mail messages are sent to the e-mail address that you designated when you registered to ASTER GDS. If the registered e-mail address is wrong or no longer used, you will not be able to receive any message. Please confirm that your user registration information reflects your current valid e-mail address.
5. In case of requesting Online Distribution, you will receive an e-mail notice once your products are ready. Please download your products within a designated period (of 7 days now) from the date of the notice. The products will be deleted after the 7 days. You will be charged even if you do not download the data within the period. Please be exceptionally aware that if you placed a prepayment order, you do not receive refund, and if you placed a credit card order, collection will necessarily take place.

In order to submit a DPR, you need to first perform User Certification on the ASTER GDS system. Please click "User Certification" on the Top Page and perform User Certification.
After performing User Certification, please select "DPR (Data Processing Request)" on the Top Page.

You can perform product searches by entering necessary information on the Product Search pages. No change has been made in this process, except the layouts of the Product Search and the DPR Inventory Search Result pages.

Clicking the "Search Exec." button will start your product search, and you will find the searched products listed on the DPR Inventory Search Result screen.

Please click the "Select Granule" button on the DPR Inventory Search Result screen. Clicking the button will display "Yes" in the "Selected for Order" column. Please repeat this process until all products that you wish to order have "Yes" in the column, and click the "Product Order" button.
Product Estimate/Order Screen
You will now select the distribution medium and the format on the Product Estimate/Order pages. Select a granule from the Granule/Package ID column and click the "Media & Format Select" button.
Please select either [credit card & download], [download] or [credit card & cdrom] or [credit card & DVD] as you wish from the Distribution Media pulldown menu.

When the item containing "DVD" or "download" is chosen from a medium type list, the dialog shown in the following figure is displayed.

Please note that you can order multiple products in one DPR but in such case you cannot separately specify different paying methods or distribution media from product to product.

In order to receive a product via Online Distribution and another by CD-ROM, please select products on the DPR Inventory Search Result screen for each of the following:

  • cdrom
  • download
  • credit card & download
  • credit card & cdrom
  • credit card & DVD

before proceeding to the Product Estimate/Order screen.
The display will return to the Product Estimate/Order screen after clicking "OK". Please select a DPR that you are ordering and click the "Submit Order" button.
No change has been made to the way of specifying PG parameters.
The screen below will appear if your DPR is successfully accepted by ASTER GDS.
This screen lists your Order No. (DPR ID). After submitting your DPR, you need the DPR ID(s) to make inquiries in case of trouble, etc. Please do not forget to print this screen or write down the ID(s) yourself.
